Orange

Orange (Citrus sinensis) describes a tree of the genus Citrus, Citrus sinensis, and its fruit. The average weight of an orange is 140 g. Like all citrus fruits, oranges have a thick outer rind, making them easy to transport and resistant. By the 19th century, orange trees have been the most cultivated fruit tree in the world. Orange trees are commonly grown in tropical and subtropical climates for their sweet fruit. The fruit of the tree can be eaten as fresh, its juice or fragrant bark can be processed. Orange constitutes a large part of citrus production in the world.
